- Letter of authority from Advanced Car Hire
- Certified copy of vehicle registration
- Certified copy of rental permit/license
- Valid passport (6-month validity recommended)
- Valid driver's license: if not in English or missing a photo, an International Driving Permit (IDP) is recommended
- Country identifier: the vehicle's correct international country identifier for its country of registration (we confirm and supply the identifier and documents required for your approved route)
We'll prepare the required documents in advance, just let us know your planned route when you book your vehicle.
We charge a flat N$100 cross-border documentation fee to cover preparation and admin for your required vehicle paperwork.
What About Insurance?
Advanced Car Hire is not a licensed insurance provider, so we do not offer insurance. Instead, we offer an excess waiver. The excess waiver is not an insurance policy but a contractual agreement that limits your financial liability for damage to the rental vehicle, provided all terms and conditions are followed. It does not cover all damage types or losses, and there are important exclusions, especially in cases of negligence or reckless driving.
